Date: 2013-03-05 11:14 pm (UTC)As someone who's followed Tim's character throughout his various incarnations, you do a really good job with mixing and matching the various Tims out there into a single cohesive character. I confess that I primarily visualize his Arkham City incarnation in our scenes, but in terms of personality he feels more like the original flavor Tim than he does any of his spin-offs. I'm not sure if that's by accident or design, but I dig it just the same.
In terms of writing prowess you've got an exceptional talent for rolling with scenes. A lot of RPers tend to shy away from combat scenes, for whatever you reason. You write them and write them well, and that alone would distinguish you as an above-average RPer. However, you possess another talent as well, one even more rare: you can pull off a scene juggling multiple characters at once. This is a talent I literally have not seen in any other RPer since my AIM days; you would not believe how many scenes I've had wither and die on account of other players being unable to pull off the NPC thing. Hell, a scene with as many characters as we've got in the one we have going tends to fell RPers even when they're all being played by different people. That fight scene we did you pulled off masterfully, and I have to commend you for it.
You may have noticed by now that writing smut isn't something I'm especially talented in. That was, I confess, the main reason why I flopped around so long on the last LJ scene we did. I just hit a mental block of sorts. Despite being not talented at it, I'd like to get better at it, and I really dig the relationship we've been slowly building between Tim and David. Tim's a character I've played off of since before I was even playing David and you're probably the best player of him I've met so far.
I'd like to offer you some constructive criticism to balance out all the praise, but there's just not a lot to crit. A few typos here and there are hardly crit-worthy and your grasp of Tim's voice is solid. My offer to make you Arkham Unhinged icons still stands if you'd like that, as a few of Tim's current icons have weird dimensions. That's only a passing observation to me, but I know a large subset of players get nitpicky over that kind of thing.
All in all, you're doing a great job with Tim and I look forward to future scenes with him!

Thank you!!!! *glomps, hugs, squeeeezes*
side-note: fade to black is cool with me. I'm a pervert, so I generally get involved in smutty stuff, but it's by no means a necessity. If you're ever uncomfortable, we can skip those types of scenes.

Date: 2013-03-06 05:14 am (UTC)smut side-note: I really would like to get better at writing smut, it's not so much me being uncomfortable as just not having a lot of experience with writing it. That said, if my attempts get to the point where continuing a scene is too tough, I'm cool with fading to black as well. I just want to write out as much of it as possible because I really dig what Tim and David have going.
